I looked all over the DMV for a company that routinely installed alarms on sprinter vans. Could not find anyone there, look further out and found Pat. Well worth the drive. Pat did a great job with installing the alarm on my 2018 sprinter van. Extremely knowledgeable, educates along the way. Wound up getting a new stereo while I was there. Pat didn’t even mind the supervisor hanging out in the shop watching. He even went out of his way to get a part that didn’t come in on the shipment to finish the install after hours, where most shops would have closed for the day.

I am happy and surprised with the experience I had at Alarm and Tint specialist. I'm an electrician and I know what good customer service is (check my reviews). I've had my work van for about 6 years. During that time, my alarm fob has slowly been beaten to death. I've talked to a number of alarm installers over the last few months thinking that I should get ahead of this problem. Well, the fob broke before I got around to doing anything and I was stuck with a locked and alarmed work van. Desperately, I went to the internet to try to get an appointment for a new alarm system because nobody had my fob and I wanted an alarm that would automatically lock the doors and turn on when I forget to do this. At most places I was looking at a few hundred dollars (no problem) -BUT a long wait to get an appointment ...and for a guy who needs his van to work: that was a problem. Then I called Alarm and Tint Specialist. The guy I spoke to was really friendly and trying to tell me how I could bypass the alarm system so that I could drive the van. I couldn't figure it out, but I managed to pull a fuse so that I could at least drive around. He thought he'd be able to reprogram my alarm (wait, what?!?) and he'd probably have a matching fob. I really didn't think he would, but I immediately went over because I figured I had nothing to lose. *That's where I met the owner Pat. The nice guy on the phone was even nicer in person!* Guess what??? I didn't need a new alarm system! Pat reprogrammed my existing system while I was there and sold me a new fob. As he explained, most of the alarm companies are owned by Viper and so I didn't need to get the exact same fob. NOBODY ELSE HAD TOLD ME THIS!!! So here I was in a pretty desperate situation and Pat could have totally lied to me, told me I needed to leave it there overnight or something, and ripped me off by telling me it took him hours to fix the problem. Instead, he set up my alarm so that it automatically sets right then and there, and took the time to explain everything to me. Bonus points: Not only did he reprogram my alarm system *while I waited*, but the entire time he was fun to hang out with. If you go: don't expect a fancy showroom. Pat is a technician, not a salesman. This is a big garage and the kind of place where you know the guy has been there forever, he has tons and tons of stuff, it looks chaotic ...but he can find it all. This is the place to go.
