Once again great and friendly service by Jason. He did a diagnostic test and check on our furnace and informed us that we need to a new one. Spoke with the owner on the phone who gave me the recommendation on the heater and a new AC. I am so appreciative of the professionalism and respect from this company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who would be in needed of their services.
Philadelphia Office of the Attorney General Complaint Against Air Done Right – Deceptive Billing and Potential Senior Consumer Exploitation On January 24, 2026, we contacted Air Done Right to diagnose a malfunctioning boiler at our residence, as a major snowstorm was imminent and timely heat restoration was critical. This situation placed us in a particularly vulnerable position due to weather conditions and the urgency of the repair. Air Done Right dispatched a service technician, Jason, who, during the visit, stated that he was unable to diagnose the boiler issue and would need to contact technical support. Jason presented no follow-up, no updated diagnosis, no additional findings, nor any actionable information to us during or after the visit. Despite this, we were later contacted by a company representative named Racqueal, who repeatedly demanded payment of $99. Air Done Right subsequently charged us $99, which we paid by credit card, for diagnostic services that were never performed due to Air Done Right's lack of knowledge. After we questioned the charge, Air Done Right issued an invoice containing a diagnosis that was never communicated to us and was later proven to be false. The invoice claimed the boiler displayed “Error Code 7” and required a new control board. Our boiler does not generate an Error Code 7, and the error codes visible on the unit did not indicate a control board failure. We were forced to contact a second licensed contractor after Air Done Right ceased responding to our communications. The second contractor determined that the actual issue was a faulty inducer motor—unrelated to the control board—and confirmed that the error codes present did not support Air Done Right’s diagnosis. We believe Air Done Right knowingly misrepresented the condition of our boiler, fabricated a diagnosis to justify billing, and charged for services not rendered. This conduct appears to constitute deceptive and unfair business practices, particularly in light of circumstances involving older consumers facing an urgent heating emergency. We are submitting the following documentation in support of this complaint: Invoice from Air Done Right Invoice and written assessment from the second contractor Photographs showing the actual error codes displayed on the boiler Credit card statement showing the $99 charge, which has been disputed We respectfully request that the Attorney General’s Office review this matter for potential violations of consumer protection laws, including those intended to protect consumers from deceptive or exploitative practices.
These guys are great. I appreciate that they do start with the most modest solutions first before jumping into more pricey options. Great communication and courteous service as well.
